A new era for the band is dawning and the hunt for members is on! The band is currently looking for a drummer and a guitarist.

If you are a drummer and interested in this gig then you should have the following experience and abilities:
- several years of band experience required
- studio and recording experience required
- understanding of heavy metal drumming and the styles of classic thrash metal bands like Slayer, Testament etc.
- the ability to learn and play the band's back catalogue accurately
- gig and touring experience is considered a bonus

If you are guitarist and interested in this gig then you should have the following experience and abilities:
- several years of band experience required
- studio and recording experience required
- the ability to handle both rhythm and lead guitar duties
- songwriting experience and understanding of classic thrash metal styles
- the ability to learn and play the band's back catalogue accurately
- gig and touring experience is considered a bonus

Please note that, as the band is based in Finland, this audition will have domestic priority but all applications, come from wherever may, will be taken into consideration.

14.05.09 OFFICIAL STATEMENT

The current lineup of The Scourger has come to an end.

The Scourger and its two founding members Jari Hurskainen and Seppo Tarvainen have decided to continue their musical careers apart. Vocalist Hurskainen will continue under the name of The Scourger by himself. All other ex-members Antti Wirman, Kimmo Kammonen, Jani Luttinen and Seppo Tarvainen will continue together. Their new projects will be announced at a later time. The Scourger has released two full length albums via Stay Heavy Records / Cyclone Empire worldwide to date.

31.03.09 THRASH UNDER THE RISING SUN

Spiritual Beast will release "Dark Invitation To Armageddon" in Japan, Korea, China and various other countries in Southeast Asia on the 15th of April.

25.02.09 DANTE'S HIGHLIGHT GIG

The approx showtime for the Dante's Highlight gig for the band is 23:00 hours. See you downtown Helsinki on Saturday the 28th.

22.01.09 ANOTHER YEAR OF THRASH

So once again another year is here. In the heart of the winter the band is already making plans for the coming summer. We are currently looking into what festivals and other nice gigs would be possible for us to play during 2009. More about these during the spring...

12.12.08 GIG DATE CHANGE

The first gig of next year has been moved from Virgin Oil Co in Helsinki to Dante's Highlight. The new date is the 28th of February.

09.11.08 LIVE ALIVE

After a short Xmas break the band will again return to the stages in January 2009. We start at Virgin Oil Co in Helsinki. Check the live section for more details.

The venue for the "Feast Of The Four Horsemen" has changed from Nightlife Rock in Helsinki to Virgin Oil Co. The date is still the 14th of August. Tukkanuotta has been added to the bill. Tickets 10 euros.

Bang! Bang! The band will support Mortal Sin on the "Triple Thrash Treat" evening at Nightlife Rock in Helsinki. The date is the 14th of August. Also present is Fierce. Tickets 10 almighty euros.

The Tuska festival showtime for the band has been confirmed. The band will storm the Inferno stage at 19:45 for a full one hour show!

17.04.08 TUSKA AND KAUVATSA OPEN AIR FESTIVALS

Bloody great indeed. Tuska festival appearance confirmed today. The band will play on Friday 27th of June. Furthermore, the band will headline Kauvatsa Open Air on the 12th of July. This promises to be a very special event for thrash metal headbangers in the Pori area.

20.01.08 LOTD TOUR

As you know, the band will be part of the Legion Of The Damned tour of Finland in February. The band is currently rehearsing a new setlist and sharpening the axes with the new lineup. Check the Live section for the exact dates and locations.

01.01.08 LINEUP CHANGE

The band has parted ways with guitarist Timo Nyberg. There are absolutely no musical differences or hard feelings between the band and Timo. The reason for the split is simply that Timo has many other commitments that he needs to take care of and hence can't give the band the input it would need. Timo is replaced with Antti Wirman known from the bands Warmen and Craydawn. The band welcomes Antti onboard and wishes all the best for Timo in the future, wherever he may roam..
