Bloody great indeed. Tuska festival appearance confirmed today. The band will play on Friday 27th of June. Furthermore, the band will headline Kauvatsa Open Air on the 12th of July. This promises to be a very special event for thrash metal headbangers in the Pori area.

20.01.08 LOTD TOUR

As you know, the band will be part of the Legion Of The Damned tour of Finland in February. The band is currently rehearsing a new setlist and sharpening the axes with the new lineup. Check the Live section for the exact dates and locations.

01.01.08 LINEUP CHANGE

The band has parted ways with guitarist Timo Nyberg. There are absolutely no musical differences or hard feelings between the band and Timo. The reason for the split is simply that Timo has many other commitments that he needs to take care of and hence can't give the band the input it would need. Timo is replaced with Antti Wirman known from the bands Warmen and Craydawn. The band welcomes Antti onboard and wishes all the best for Timo in the future, wherever he may roam..

24.12.07 RELEASE DATE UPDATE

The new confirmed release date for the album in Finland is the 30th of January 2008. The band wishes everybody a happy Holiday Season and promises to thrash you even harder next year!

27.09.07 RELEASE DATE

Stay Heavy Records has set the 7th of November as the official release date for the new album in Finland. The album will also be released worldwide through Cyclone Empire, this release date is still to be confirmed. A tour of Finland will follow, which will keep the band on the road until the end of the year.

30.08.07 ALBUM UPDATE

During the summer months the band has been supervising the mixing of the new, hotter than hell album "Dark Invitation To Armageddon". Also some interesting artwork has been planned. Presumably Stay Heavy Records will issue a detailed statement about the album details, tours and other marketing related information during mid September. Until then, stay awake, because this is just the calm before the storm...

Due to some mysterious internet leak the new single title "Never Bury The Hatchet" and the title of the forthcoming album "Dark Invitation To Armageddon" has been exposed to the world. Tentative release months are June for the single and October for the album.

30.03.07 SHORT STUDIO UPDATE

Studio days, glory days! The work has continued mostly with the editing of the drums and with the tracking of rhythm guitars. Also some demo vocals has been recorded in order to get all the bits and pieces of the lyrics in place. More details to follow in the next studio diary, which will be online in a couple of weeks on this website near you!

The Scourger is nominated in the "Best Thrash Metal Album" category in Metal Storm Awards. Is this cool or what? Vote or feel the vengeance of the whip!

28.01.07 TOUR ENDS

The Scourger played their last show on the Napalm Death tour in Jyväskylä. The band would like to thank all the bands on the bill and the people who came out to the shows and supported the band. You rule! Now it is time to concentrate on the studio sessions for the new album. Check the studio diary for the progress.
